Reformer, mat, or both
Some studios only do reformer, some only mat. Both are worth having: the reformer teaches you the shape, the mat proves you own it. A studio with both lets your practice grow without switching memberships.
How much attention you'll get
Ask how many people are in a class and whether instructors correct you by name. Pilates is precise work, and the difference between a good class and a great one is usually how often someone fixes your alignment.
A schedule that fits your week
The best studio is the one you can actually get to. Look for early-morning, lunchtime and evening classes on weekdays, plus weekend options, and check how far ahead you can book.
How the price works
Compare more than the headline number: the drop-in price, class packs and monthly memberships, and what each membership actually includes. A slightly higher monthly price can be cheaper per class if it covers more of what you'd do anyway.
Where SAMA fits
SAMA Studio is at 1334 NE 1st Ave in Downtown Miami. It's a luxury, all-in-one studio: reformer, mat, hot room, barre, yoga and recovery under one roof, with classes from 6 AM on weekdays and on weekends too. A single class starts at $35, and memberships include Mat & Yoga ($230 a month), Reformer ($270 a month) and All Access ($299 a month).
The short version
Compare what you'll actually use, not just what's on the poster.
